have been 32 this year.who is never far from his mind. maureen kelly kron4 news. >> pam: polly's killer. richard allen davis. remains on san quentin's death row. >> pam: despite the many years that has passed since the crime, polly's father says, he does not forgive the man who stole his daughter's life. >>".his eyes." >> pam: marc klaas says, he does not hold much hope that the 59- year old killer will ever be executed. a federal judge issued a moratorium halting the state's ability to carry out death sentences in 2006. >> reporter:a hayward police officer accused of multiple sex crimes against children. says he is not guilty. richard mcleod was arrested on saturday. today he faced a judge for the first time. details from pleasanton. >> reporter:richard mcleod.hayward police officerformer after school program directorsays he is not guilty of six different charges involving sex crimes against children. his lawyer. >> reporter:mcleod was arraigned tuesday, more than a dozen of his family and friends came to support himhis mother cried as she witnessed her son in

handcuffs behind glass. the six sex charges against him involve at least two girls 14 years old or younger between 2001 and 2004. victims tell police the crimes occurred at this school and at other locations in livermore. his brother wouldn't say much about the case. earlier this week we showed you mcleod's house, located on a livermore golf course. tuesday we learned that he is married, his wife seen here in this video. the two have at least one childa 2 year old boy. before becoming an officer in 2007 richard mcleod was the director of an after school program called kid zone here at christensen middle school in livermore. that is when the alleged crimes are believed to have occurred. on campus and in other spots across town. >> reporter:this case is moving forward rather quickly. tuesday a pretrial date was set for early novemeberat which time we'll likely learn more of the details behind these alleged sex crimes. in pleasanton, j.r. stone kron 4 news. >> pam: tonight, two men have been arrested and charged. in the shooting death of eight- year old alaysha carradine. that shooting happened in oakland in july. alaysha was sleeping over at a friend's house, when someone knocked on the door. >> pam: police say, shots were then fired into the door, as alaysha was opening it. two other children and an adult were also hurt, but they survived. oakland police say, the shooter is 22-year-old alleged gang member darnell williams

>> pam: 27-year-old joseph carroll. who investigators say, planned the shooting is also charged. >> pam: alaysha's mother was in court today. and talks about the arrests made in her daughter's murder. >>". justice for my daughter" >> pam: prosecutors say, in addition to alaysha's killing darnell williams is also being charged for the shooting death of a berkeley man on september eighth. investigators believe both crimes are linked. >>".doing their job.
